Lack of faith in technology security means shoppers still use their cards and cash says voucher code website DiscountVouchers.co.uk
Most UK consumers still do not trust their mobile phone when paying for their various types of shopping, reveals a new poll conducted by money saving website DiscountVouchers.co.uk.
In excess of 70% of people polled in the survey said that they wouldn’t use mobile phones when paying for their shopping – even if it were proven that the technology was secure and problem-free. Consumers admitted to still preferring using the more traditional methods of cash or cards.
Doug Scott, managing director of DiscountVouchers.co.uk, comments: “Our new poll reveals that people simply don’t trust using their phones to pay for goods and services. However under a system of strong security, they shouldn’t worry so much about it.”
