New Half-Day Workshops
Saturday, March 24, at Palace Art in Capitola
(Morning 11 am to 2 pm; Afternoon 3 pm to 6 pm)
Introducing the Quickie Workshop! Join us for the morning session or the afternoon session — or double up and paint all day. The choice is yours! It’s just $35 for one session or $65 for both. Work on a painting you’ve already started, or try your hand at some fun “art school” painting exercises. We will have lots of subjects to choose from, and plenty of canvases. You might complete two or three pictures in one day! Cut loose and explore the pure joy of making art. It’s a must-attend event!
Landscape Painting
Saturday, March 31 at Palace Art in Capitola (11 am to 6 pm)
Our subject for this special Paint Along workshop is “Bright and Fair,” a spectacular landscape by N.C. Wyeth, the great American artist, and illustrator. Join us, and paint your version of this lovely scene by one of the world’s most legendary artists. It’s a great introduction to oil painting and a good refresher course for more experienced painters.
Santa Cruz Coast
Saturday, April 7, at Palace Art in Capitola (11 am to 6 pm)
Paint the singular beauty of the Santa Cruz coastline and picturesque Natural Bridges in this special art workshop. We will focus on how to paint clouds and reflections on water as we explore the magic of the coastal landscape. And you’ll finish the day with a beautiful original painting.
Everyone is Welcome
No prior painting experience is necessary. These workshops are designed for beginners, and for people who love to make art and want to learn more about it. You can do it! It’s just $65, including materials, canvas, and paints.
Weekday Art Classes
Art is fun! Learn how to paint and have a great time, too. You can choose any subject you like — whatever inspires you. It’s just $30 per class or $125 for a series of five classes.
