Tom Hanks introduces Helen Bousquet website

Boston, Massachusetts (rushPRnews) 02/17/13 — Legendary movie star Tom Hanks has recorded an introduction to the website of Helen Bousquet.

Bousquet, 62, died on October 5th following what was supposed to be routine knee surgery at The Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Massachusetts, a Steward Health Care System hospital.

Her son, Brian Evans, created a website dedicated to his mother, and to bring attention to the condition known as sleep apnea.

"Hospitals need to pay very close attention to the condition of Sleep Apnea," says Evans.

The American Sleep Apnea Association has put her on their website at www.sleepapnea.org.

"Hospital's cannot treat patients the same way they do others when they have this condition. Following successful surgery, these patients are on morphine for pain, and if they have sleep apnea, it can be a deady combination. As my mother was, they cannot be placed in unmonitored recovery rooms while on morphine, and that's the lesson here," says Evans.

US State Senator Bruce Tarr is going to propose changes to legislation in the Standard of Care as a result of Mrs. Bousquet's passing.

Ten days prior to her passing, she co-produced the music video "At Fenway," starring her son, Brian (who wrote and sings the song), and William Shatner as the Major League Baseball home plate umpire. Bousquet herself appears in the music video.

A movie preview of the upcoming release now appears in all AMC and Regal movie theaters throughout various US states.
