Campaign reaches global audience!
Riding high on the accomplishment of reaching their $100K Kickstarter target in just 13 days – $50,000 of that within the first 24 hours – wearable tech startup Zikto have announced the first set of stretch goals for their Arki campaign, with three weeks left to run.
Once funding of Arki: Your Walking Coach reaches $200,000, every package ordered via Kickstarter will include a bonus mystery strap. And at $300,000, Running Posture Adjustment functionality will be added. More than 600 backers have now taken Arki’s Kickstarter total past $120,000 since the campaign launch on November 11.
Buzz builds for innovative new wearable technology
Los Angeles- and Seoul-based Zikto have already attracted prestigious industry attention for their Arki concept, including winning development funding through several competitions in their native South Korea. Zikto represented South Korea at the 2014 Creative Business Cup in Copenhagen, where they were awarded the SoftLayer Catalyst Startup Program, offering free infrastructure, mentorship and support. Zikto also exhibited Arki at the Startup Nations Summit in Seoul recently.
The latest media coverage of Zikto and Arki reflects the growing buzz surrounding this game-changing new technology. VentureBeat comments that Arki may well give established wearables like Fitbit and Misfit “a run for their money.”
Media coverage is coming from every continent across the globe, indicating that Arki is gaining worldwide attention and interest. Trusted Reviews highlighted Arki’s unique features, with a special nod to the device’s five-day battery lifespan. Geeky Gadgets also reviewed what they termed an “innovative and unique fitness tracking smart band.” The New York Daily News praised Arki as a “stylish wearable” highlighting its sleek design and interchangeable bands. Even UK-based Daily Mail has given Arki detailed coverage, taking the concept truly mainstream and global.
Arki’s quality-over-quantity approach to fitness tracking aims to coach users on natural, balanced, healthy walking behaviour using machine learning technology and both real-time feedback and detailed analysis and coaching. This exciting concept appears to have captured the interest of people from all walks of life, as backers continue to join Arki’s Kickstarter campaign. Zikto’s Arki: Your Walking Coach campaign will run on Kickstarter until December 22nd; after this time the device will be available for pre-order at a higher non-introductory price via Zikto’s website. Arki will ship to backers in April 2015.
Zikto are currently seeking global VC and business partners to join in successfully delivering a truly first-class device to backers and customers worldwide.
